I bought a bike on the 28th of May, it wasn’t set up correctly chain and rear derailleur snapped off and has damaged the paint work and rear gear needs replacing . Rutlands - offered parts as a “goodwill gesture “ - I refused . I have a bike with a badly damaged frame , buckled wheel due to it not being set up correctly .Exact same issue as Paul who has just posted his review too.This was their reply Hi XXXXXThank you for your email and apologies for the delay in reply.Due to the nature of this issue it is highly unlikely that a warranty replacement would be available. We have the part numbers for the parts required to repair the bike and we can get these sent out to you free of charge as a gesture of goodwill. Best regards,Updated After Rutland Cycles's reply here:You're quicker to reply here than you are by email; as I said the above is not acceptable. Why on earth would you think it s acceptable for me to have a badly damaged frame and then pay for another shop to fit the parts you have supplied on a bike that you should have done properly in the first place.Your team have not resolved this instead now choosing to ignore my emails which has left me with no choice but to initiate a charge back via my credit card.You can pick up the bike when ready as it can't be ridden in its current state due to the damage caused by your technicians not setting them up correctly and I do not think its acceptable for you to ask me to pay for the repair and put up with its damaged frame. Update again I have supplied you my name and you have all my order details- it’s been emailed to you . I’m sure overall their customers have good service with Rutland but unfortunately I have not, pretty poor after sales customer service on a near £1000 bike. Very disappointed. Couldn’t recommend them and won’t be choosing them to shop with again in the future.

Bike surprisingly came in stock after being sold out absolutely everywhere. Clair was very helpful through the whole process of selecting the bike and accessories and the bike was delivered incredibly timely.

Fantastic company, great products, why would anyone buy anywhere else on line.


I dropped my Giant wheel off to have a broken spoke replaced and it was ready to collect the same day. The bill was very reasonable too so I’ll definitely be back for any further repairs that I can’t do myself.

The bike I ordered online wasn't what i wanted, the team arranged the return of the bike and the refund. No problems a nice company to do business with

Bought a new bike from the Secialized Nottingham shop as the bike was not available in Harrogate where I Iive. Sent them my Retul fit details and collected the bike as arranged in advance of travelling to Nottingham. Was served by friendly and knowledgable Andy who explained all about the bike, after sales service and insurance etc. Were it not for living in Harrogate, Specialized Nottingham would have my future custom.

Great bike at a good price. Arrived when it should have. Unfortunately the pedals were not packed in the box which was disappointing. Rutland dealt with this straight away and they were dispatched on the next working day. Would purchase a bike from Rutland cycling again.

Bit of a delay with my order - but a quick phone call to Rutland and Michelle sorted me out very quickly :) Very happy to use, and will use again in the future! Count me as a new customer long term! :)


Bike received in good time but unfortunately had not been set up correctly, gears were out of sync, brake cables not trimmed correctly so I had to get it rectified by a local bike workshop. However, Rutland were quick to reimburse me for the costs of repair. The online chat service is very helpful.

Excellent customer service, couldnt ask for better. Would definitely use again in future.
